In this issue you will find information about:

BEST Survey 2014

The data collection for the BEST Survey 2014 will start the 1st of January, as the data collection is continuous throughout the year. If your city/region want to participate in the survey, the deadline for registering is the 20th of November.

There is a possibility to add additional questions for your city/region. If your city or region wants to add additional questions, the same deadline applies (20th of November).

Each year a special topic is included in the survey. This year the topics were: "Use of PT information channels" and "Use of ticket medias". If you would like to suggest a special topic to be included in the survey 2014, please let us know as soon as possible, by sending a mail to BEST Project Manager, or to any of the members of the Planning Committee.

Work shop: Traffic information
The last workshop in 2013 will be held in Oslo the 28th of November. It will focus on how to provide updated and relevant information in all 7 steps of the "customer journey" (see illustration in Norwegian below):

1. Evaluate travel options
2. Prepare a journey
3. At the stop/station
4. During the trip
5. When an unexpected even occurs
6. After the journey
7. Before the next trip

At the workshop Anna Kirah from the consulting company Making Waves, will present: The future for digital travel information: from device to advice. 

There will also be a presentation of the app "RuterBillett" which was recently awarded the prize “App of the Year 2013”, by PCWorld. And the role of apps in different steps of the “customer journey”, today and in the future.

The workshop will be organised in the same way as the previous years. This means that all participating organizations will have to make a presentation as well. An important part of the workshops is also to have an open and informal discussion of the topics in question with others facing the same challenges.
